Our Website Design Process

The process

How I Build Your Website

I move through each stage with your input and approval. The visual design is agreed upon before I begin the deeper PHP development work.

01
Planning together

Initial Consultation and Project Planning

I start by discussing your business, audience, goals, budget, preferred features, and ideas. This gives you and me a shared understanding of what the Website needs to accomplish and how I can build it around your needs.

02
Mobirise design session

Designing Together in Mobirise

I will sit down with you and use Mobirise, a drag-and-drop Website editor that can be used offline. You can explore and experiment with different content blocks, layouts, images, and sections. This hands-on approach helps you see the look and feel of your site and take part in shaping the design instead of having to imagine the finished result.

03
Finishing details

Finalizing the Design and Website Information

Once you are happy with the layout and appearance, I add the remaining Website information. This can include contact details, copyright information, privacy policy, terms and conditions, and other business or legal information supplied or approved by you.

04
Client preview

Publishing a Temporary Website Preview

I publish the HTML version to a temporary Web address. You can navigate the Website as a visitor would, review the pages, check the content, and let me know if anything needs to be adjusted. I want you to be comfortable with the design and page flow before I move into the next stage.

05
PHP development

Converting the Approved HTML Design into PHP

After you approve the preview, I begin converting the basic HTML Website into a PHP-powered framework. I organize the shared structure into three main parts so common elements can be maintained consistently:

HeaderShared branding and navigation
Main ContentThe individual page content
FooterShared business details and links

This structure helps keep the Website organized and makes future updates more manageable.

06
AI-assisted development

Code Review and Compatibility Checks with ChatGPT

During the HTML-to-PHP conversion, I use ChatGPT as a development assistant to review code, help identify errors, troubleshoot issues, and improve compatibility across modern Web browsers and mobile devices. I remain involved in reviewing and refining the Website so the technical implementation continues to match the design you approved.

07
Database and hosting

MySQL Database and Hosting Configuration

If your Website needs a MySQL database, I coordinate with your existing hosting company to arrange the required database setup and connection. If you choose Siberian Husky Web Designs Inc. for hosting, I can take care of the hosting and database configuration as part of the project. The database is then connected to the PHP Website where its features require it.

08
Custom management

Building Your Custom Administration Area

When the project calls for it, I build a custom administration area around the needs of your Website. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all dashboard, the goal is to give you the tools you need to manage the content and features that matter to your business.

09
Quality assurance

Testing and Final Review

I review the completed Website's navigation, forms, links, database-driven features, and overall presentation. I also check the layout at desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes and review behavior in modern browsers. Any issues found during testing are addressed before launch.

10
Go live

Launch and Client Handoff

Once the Website is ready and approved, I prepare it for its permanent Web address. If a custom administration area is included, I provide the appropriate access so you can manage the Website content yourself. Hosting, maintenance, and ongoing support can be discussed based on the services you choose.

Tools and technologies

The Tools Behind Your Website

Each tool has a role in the process, from shaping the visual design to building and supporting the finished Website.

M

Mobirise

Used during collaborative design sessions to explore drag-and-drop blocks, page layouts, and the visual direction of the Website.

HTML

HTML5

Provides the underlying structure and content of the initial Website design created for client review.

CSS

CSS3

Controls the visual presentation, including layout, colors, spacing, typography, and responsive styling.

AI

ChatGPT

Assists with PHP conversion, code review, troubleshooting, error identification, and improving browser and mobile compatibility.

PHP

PHP

Turns the approved static design into a reusable framework and supports dynamic Website features and custom administration tools.

DB

MySQL

Provides database storage for projects that need to save, retrieve, or manage information dynamically.

ADM

Custom Administration

Provides Website-specific management screens so clients can update supported content and features themselves.

IB

Hosting and Temporary Preview

Allows the client to review the working Website online before the final launch, with hosting and database setup coordinated as needed.

QA

Browser and Device Testing

Checks the Website at different screen sizes and in modern browsers as part of the final review and quality-assurance process.

The exact tools, database requirements, administration features, and hosting arrangements depend on the needs and scope of each Website project.

A hands-on experience

You See the Design Before the Development Is Finished

One of the most important parts of this approach is that you are not left guessing what your Website will look like. I work with you in Mobirise, publish a temporary preview, and give you the opportunity to explore the site before the HTML design is converted into the PHP framework.

That means the technical development begins with an agreed-upon visual direction, and the finished Website is built around the design you helped create.
